The KILR Retroparticles for Adherent Cells (Hygromycin B) are MMLV particles designed to transduce adherent cells. This allows production of ProLabel-tagged, hygromycin B-resistant target cells of interest for use in cytotoxicity assays involving detection of cell lysis. This product uses EFC technology. The retroparticles mix can be used to transduce target cells with a ProLabel-tagged housekeeping gene. Target cell death in a cytotoxicity assay will release ProLabel to the media, where EA contained in the detection reagent will produce EFC signal. These retroparticles ship as 4 vials of cryopreserved retroparticles. Lonza Walkersville P3 Primary Cell 4D-Nucleofector LV Kit XL
The P3 Primary Cell 4D-Nucleofector LV Kit XL* is suited for larger scale transfection of primary cells in the LV Nucleocuvette Cartridge format when working with the 4D-Nucleofector LV Unit. With the LV Nucleocuvette Cartridge a variable volume of up to 20 mL can be transfected. The cartridge is automatically filled and emptied with help of the supplied input and output reservoirs. Alternatively bags can be used. DI TNC1 Rat Type 1 Astrocyte Cell Line (ATCC CRL-2005)
DI TNC1 (ATCC CRL-2005) is an immortalized rat type 1 astrocyte cell line established from primary cultures of diencephalon tissue of 1-day-old rats. Cells were transfected with an SV40 early region construct under the GFAP promoter and retain type 1 astrocyte characteristics such as GFAP immunoreactivity and high-affinity GABA uptake.

- Immortalized via SV40 early region under GFAP promoter.
- Retains GFAP immunoreactivity and type 1 astrocyte phenotype.
